Flowers of Demise is Joe Kusy (guitar, vocals), Steve Montenegro (bass), and Vince Alvare (drums). Joe and Vince were previously founders of the Philadelphia goth/psych group Far-Out Fangtooth. Steve's other projects include Moor Jewelry & Mental Jewelry. Joe has been friends with Steve since high school and Vince since college. These long friendships translate into a fluid understanding of FOD's musical language. This debut self-titled album is a culmination of many trials and tribulations, with themes of loss, joy, & mortality. Jangle-pop meets gothic undertones in a place of emotional, minimal, nuanced post-punk.
